HALSTON DARE CONTINUES TO DANCE HER WAY TO THE TOP WITH NEW HIT SINGLE GIRLS

HOUSTON, TX - Halston Dare, a two-time Billboard Top 20 charting artist, has Girls dancing their way into "hot girl" summer with her new release on Amazon, Apple Music, Pandora, Spotify and all major online retailers. This pop anthem, which would land perfectly between a mix of Ava Max, Dua Lipa and Lizzo on your playlists, will have you feeling empowered and ready to hit the town with your favorite female squad. Written by Halston and Jesse Barrera (Tori Kelly & US the Duo), who also serves as the producer of this track, her signature sass shines through in this flirty, confident single.


"I got the opportunity to take a trip to LA to work with Jesse," says Halston. "He and I hit it off from the get-go. He had a track ready for me when I arrived. I knew I wanted to write a fun, relatable, laid-back song for the summer. I decided to write about my inner struggle with making girlfriends. This song is a daydream about being with all of my girlfriends in Beverly Hills without a care in the world. Girls is about just having a good time with people you care about and enjoying your time with them. I hope when you listen to Girls, you think of the special women in your life & enjoy whatever situation you’re in with them.”



In a premiere with Digital Journal, Halston took readers behind the scenes into the studio: "My song Girls is one of the most fun songs I have ever created. It was my first time working with Jesse in person and we had so much fun together. I have never laughed that much in the studio. He is so funny, has the cutest dogs, and has one of the coolest studios I have ever been to in LA."

Halston kicked off 2021 achieving a new milestone in her career when she landed two tracks in the Top 20 on Billboard. Those songs were both featured on the e.l.f. Cosmetics holiday album E.L.F. the Hauls. The project was a monumental streaming success acquiring over 13 million plays on Triller which parlayed these releases onto the Billboard “Top U.S. Triller” Chart. Halston also directed the social media launch by premiering the project via an Instagram Live to e.l.f Cosmetics’ 5.7 million followers. In addition, her previous releases Pinnacle and Teach Em surpassed over one million streams on Spotify. American Songwriter Magazine praised Halston for crafting "one of the year's boldest should-be-smashes."
